Powellite videos go viral: over 30 million views

Powellite has been working with the charity What? Why? Children in Hospital for the past six years to film over 60 information videos for children and parents about hospital tests and treatments. The videos are used by hospital clinics across the world to help families prepare for their visit. It now looks like the videos have gone viral as they reached more than 30 million views on YouTube in January 2023!

Evaluations by Powellite and Edgehill University showed that children and parents who understand what is going to happen in hospital are less anxious. Children and parents who had a positive experience in hospital are more likely to attend future appointments and seek timely help when their child is ill.

The videos cover a range of topics including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Echo, ECG, EEG and general anaesthetics. The video about having an ultrasound is the most popular and has been viewed 12 million times.
